In 2007, Just 4 Youth was commissioned by Cleveland Police Authority to produce a "youth proofed" version of the Local Policing Plan to be distributed to thousands of young people in the Force Area.

Under the title "RU Bovvered? Cos we Are", the reports were distributed to 38,000 young people between the ages of 11 and 19, including a freepost form inviting comments on crime and anti-social behaviour issues.

So successful was the project that it gained national recognition in report produced by the Association of Police Authorities. Says Police Authority Chair, Councillor Dave McLuckie, " The team of youngsters who helped us produce the plans did a tremendous job. They certainly looked very different from our normal style of documetns but that was what it was all about - making them appealing to a younger audience and hopefully persuading them to come forward with suggestions and ideas which we can take into account when planning our services for the years ahead."

This year, Just 4 Youth were again commissioned to youth proof the 2008/2009 Local Policing Plan and have worked with 4 groups of young people across the entire Force area to produce 4 different versions of the Plan.
