An innovative and unique new scheme that aims to help at least 150 young people in Middlesbrough realise their aspirations and improve their job prospects is set to kick start in November.
The Youth Engagement Scheme (YES) that aims to help at least 150 young people in Middlesbrough realise their aspirations and improve their job prospects is set to kick start in November. It will work with young people for six months to create a culture of work, training and learning. Just 4 Youth will work with Fairbridge Teesside and A4e Education and Enterprise to deliver projects funded through Jobcentre Plus’ Deprived Area Fund (DAF).
Just 4 Youth’s advisors will engage and signpost young people onto the relevant Fairbridge Teesside or A4E programmes to help prepare them for employment. Kevin Franks, Youth Manager for WMNT said: “We’re really excited about this new project. It’s unique because the Youth Employment Advisors will be young people themselves. The Advisors will act as positive role models to other young people, to help motivate them and move them into employment training.”
