Just 4 Youth is now delivering its Primary School Council Toolkit in St Edward’s Primary School in the Linthorpe area of Middlesbrough.
The young people will be following a 30 hour programme which will equip them with the skills to set up and promote their own School Council. They will be taking part in the training from December 2008 until March 2009 and will elect their own Chair, Vice Chair and Secretary. The work from the School Council will be a direct result of the work the school are already doing in their individual Class Councils.
The school is also planning a second floor extension in spring 2009 so the School Council will also be involved in promoting the voice of young people with regards to this and they will also be speaking to parents.
