Home Office Policing Minister, Vernon Coaker, who met with Lisa and Nathan of Just 4 Just at the national conference of the Association of Police Authorities in Gateshead in November, has recently praised the work of the team in working with young people through their youth proofing projects to tackle anti social behaviour.
Mr Coaker said, "Too often the actions of a small minority of young people overshadow the good behaviour of the vast majority who make a positive contribution to the lives of those around them.
“There is not an either/or option in tackling youth crime: we need both tough enforcement and effective preventative measures to drive down youth crime and anti-social behaviour. But we also need to listen to the views of young people themselves.
“Led by young people, for young people, Just 4 Youth is an excellent example of an organisation which has helped to improve the important relationship between young people and the police.”
